Getting down to the wire on this one but the California Go Championship will be held this weekend in San Diego. Saturday and Sunday, November 27th and 28th, 2021, at the San Diego Chess Club in Balboa Park

AGA membership is required for players:

One can join the AGA or renew at https://www.usgo.org/members/login 

(Note is you are joining the AGA for the first time and over 23-years-old, you are eligible for a half-price membership for 1 or 2 years:  email me and I will send you a voucher)

Thanksgiving weekend tournaments;
1) 2021 California Go Championship (Open and Handicap sections)
     Saturday and Sunday, 5-rounds, 45-minutes/players + byo-yomi     $20 entry ($10 for youth) Any one can enter.

2)  U16 Girls California Go Championship and
3)  U16 Boys California Go Championship  (both are handicapped)
      Saturday, 4-rounds, 30-minutes/player + byo-yomi      $5 entry fee

4) U16 13×13 California Go Championship
      (no handicap – but sections by strength)
      Sunday, 4 (or 5)-rounds, 20-minutes/player
      $5 entry fee

These tournaments are limited to those adults that are vaccinated and all are required to wear masks. Safety is our main concern.
